Facebook Disaster Maps part 2: Population Analysis Technical Training

NetHope's Crisis Informatics Team

Note: This is the second webinar of a three-part webinar series. To participate, please view the webinar recording of first part of this webinar series and send an email to Gabriele Almon with NetHope Crisis Informatics to review the partner agreement and take part.

Geared towards partners of Facebook’s Disaster Maps program who’ve attended the 101 webinar and signed a data-sharing agreement, this session will provide an in-depth overview of how humanitarian NGOs can gain important population-based insights. This includes:

  • Daily population density maps
  • Daily population movement calculations

In addition to walking through the user interface, representatives from the American Red Cross and Direct Relief will share case studies demonstrating use of various functions in the platform.

John Crowley, Director of Information Management and Crisis Informatics, NetHope

Andrew Schroeder, Director of Research, Direct Relief
