Twenty-first Century nonprofits seeking global influence and the ability to affect positive change are faced with challenges. Compassion in World Farming (CIWF) was founded in 1967 by a British dairy farmer horrified at the development of intensive factory farming. Today CIWF is the leading farm animal welfare organization dedicated to ending factory farming to achieve humane and sustainable food. With headquarters in the UK, CIWF has offices across Europe, in the U.S., China, and South Africa.
CIWF faces the challenges of working in seven countries, such as the requirement of different local accounting firms and the need to provide consolidated financial reporting to donors. CIWF sought to locate and onboard a solution to streamline its back-office operations and provide a unified, flexible business platform to standardize operations and support a rapid global expansion.
NetSuite supports CIWF’s ambitious international strategy by providing a real-time, consolidated view into its financial information. This allows the NGO to account for increased income globally and track donations in a transparent manner on a single system.
