Healthcare Working Group

NetHope’s members work in numerous capacities across the global healthcare sector but face similar challenges. Ensuring that last-mile healthcare capacity is available and accessible to all beneficiaries requires practical and scalable technology solutions.

The NetHope Healthcare Working Group was developed to promote collaboration and sharing of best practices across NetHope members that work in the health field. It’s intended to improve awareness of ICT tools and services for healthcare in resource constrained environments, including mHealth and eHealth tools awareness, education and evaluation.

The Healthcare Working Group bridges the gap between IT staff and healthcare program professionals. Technology is not often seen as an automatic component of healthcare program strategy, however technology challenges, such as interoperability, connectivity and data security are ever-present when implementing global health initiatives. This Working Group seeks to provide support to members for industry outreach, awareness, collaboration and engagement to bridge this gap and meet members’ needs.
